Juneau City and Borough Recent Bookings
Juneau is Alaska's state capital and the seat of government for the unified City and Borough of Juneau. Recent bookings here are processed through the Juneau Police Department and held at Lemon Creek Correctional Center. This page covers how to find JPD arrest records, search the daily bulletin archive, check active warrants, look up inmate status, and access court case files through the Alaska Court System.
Juneau City and Borough Overview
Juneau Recent Bookings - Where to Start
Juneau has more self-service tools for finding recent bookings than most Alaska boroughs. The Juneau Police Department posts a daily bulletin each afternoon covering the previous 24 hours. That bulletin lists arrests, calls for service, and notable incidents. It is free and open to the public without any login requirement.
For court records tied to recent arrests, the CourtView public access portal is the right place to start. You can search by name, case number, or date range. Juneau Superior and District Court cases appear there soon after they are filed. The Criminal Charges Filed report from the Alaska Court System updates at 9 PM nightly and shows new case filings from the past seven days, including Juneau.
The AST Daily Dispatch covers Alaska State Troopers activity in the Southeast Detachment, which includes areas outside JPD's city jurisdiction. If you need records from outside city limits, the Dispatch is your first stop for trooper activity in the region.
JPD Daily Bulletin Archive
The JPD Daily Bulletin is one of the most detailed local arrest logs available from any Alaska police department. It is posted around 3 PM each day and covers the prior 24 hours. The archive goes back to January 1, 2017, and older entries are also accessible in the "Prior to 2017" section of the site. Each entry includes the date and time of arrest, name, charges, and often a brief description of the incident.
The image below shows the JPD bulletin archive page, where you can browse or search past bulletins by date.
Browse the full archive at the JPD Daily Bulletin Archive on the City and Borough of Juneau website.
Bulletins are posted in chronological order and can be filtered by date range for faster searching.
This archive is a practical tool for anyone researching recent bookings in Juneau. Because bulletins are posted daily and retained for years, you can track patterns, look up specific dates, and find basic arrest information without making a formal records request. Keep in mind that charges listed in a bulletin may change as the case proceeds through court. Always verify current charge status through CourtView or the court clerk.
JPD Newsroom and Press Releases
The JPD Newsroom contains press releases dating back to 2006. These cover major arrests, significant incidents, and public safety announcements. Releases are organized under two categories: Information Releases and PSA Individual Views. For high-profile arrests, the newsroom often provides more detail than the daily bulletin.

Press releases are free to access and require no login or records request.
The newsroom is particularly useful when looking for context around specific arrests. JPD will sometimes post detailed accounts of significant drug busts, DUI arrests, or felony bookings. These releases often include the subject's name, age, charges, and case summary. They are not a complete list of all bookings, but they fill in detail for cases the department chooses to highlight.
Active Warrants in Juneau
JPD posts a weekly active warrant report on its website. This list covers outstanding warrants for JPD cases and shows the subject's name and alleged offense. A link to the State Warrants CSV is also provided. That state file is searchable by detachment column. For Southeast Alaska warrants handled by AST rather than JPD, sort the CSV by the "A Detachment" column.
The image below shows the JPD warrants page, which includes both the weekly local list and a link to the statewide CSV.
Check the current warrant list at the JPD Warrants page.
To resolve an active warrant, contact JPD directly at (907) 586-0600.
Active warrants are also listed in the statewide database at hotsheets.dps.alaska.gov, which is updated daily by the Alaska Department of Public Safety. This database covers both local and state agency warrants and lets you search by name. If you believe a warrant was issued in error or has been resolved, contact JPD or the Alaska Court System to verify status before appearing at a police station.
Note: The JPD warrant list is updated weekly, not daily. For the most current status, call JPD at (907) 586-0600 or check the statewide DPS warrant database.
How to Request JPD Arrest Records
JPD handles public records requests through an online form. You will need to provide your name, address, contact information, and details about the record you are seeking. Include the date, time, and location of the incident along with the case number if you have it. Vague requests take longer and may be returned for clarification.
The image below shows JPD's online records request page, where you can submit a formal request for police reports and related documents.
Submit your records request through the JPD Records Request portal on the city website.
Review the instructions carefully before submitting to avoid delays.
Copying fees follow Resolution 2288, which governs standard charges for public records in the City and Borough of Juneau. The records unit has a five-business-day review period, though wait times may be longer due to current staffing constraints. Under AS 40.25.100, Alaskans have the right to inspect and copy public government records. Records related to ongoing criminal investigations may be withheld, but most closed-case arrest records are releasable.

VINE operates around the clock and lets you register for automated custody status alerts. Very recent bookings may not appear in VINE immediately. For those, call the facility directly.
Visitation at Lemon Creek is limited to one session per day, with a maximum of one hour and three visitors. Attorney visits require at least 24 hours advance notice. Contact the facility directly to confirm current visitation rules, as they can change with little warning.

Under AS 12.62, criminal justice information in Alaska is governed by access rules that distinguish between public court records and protected law enforcement data. Court filings are generally public once entered into the system. Sealed cases, juvenile matters, and certain domestic violence protective orders are not viewable in CourtView.
AST Southeast Detachment and State Resources
The Alaska State Troopers Southeast Detachment covers areas outside JPD's city jurisdiction in the Juneau region. For arrests or incidents handled by AST rather than JPD, the AST Daily Dispatch and statewide warrant database are the primary public tools. The Southeast Detachment headquarters is at 2760 Sherwood Lane, Suite 2A, Juneau, AK 99801, phone (907) 465-4000.
The Alaska State Archives is also located in Juneau at 395 Whittier Street, Juneau, AK 99801. Phone: (907) 465-2270. The archives hold older state records, including historical law enforcement and court documents. For records predating the CourtView system, the Alaska State Archives is a useful resource.
For statewide criminal history background checks, the DPS background check portal processes name-based and fingerprint-based searches. The Alaska Sex Offender Registry is searchable by name, address, or ZIP code at no cost. Both are maintained by the Alaska Department of Public Safety.
Note: The Alaska State Archives is physically located in Juneau and can be visited in person. Call ahead at (907) 465-2270 to confirm access and hours before your visit.
